Sun. Jul. 31: London, ON ~ Home
31.07.2011 - 31.07.2011
(I miss my travelling companion: Jer, my partner in crime. We have lived together in a 2001 Chevy Blazer for the last 3 weeks. I feel like I'm missing my left arm, now that he's gone home!)
What a novelty: to have a home again.
I’m back. Many miles and kilometres later…
About 12,080 kms. And now what? I return to the life I know. (Like this never happened?)
I am transitioning today. Everything feels and looks different. Strangely familiar, but more strange, and I have to keep on reminding myself that THIS is home and I can settle in and get comfortable.
I am changed, though.
I have seen how I WANT to live and feel every day. Now, the foremost objective is to try to mimic that feeling in the mundane everyday setting that I’m bound to, at present.
Also, I see now that it’s so important not to sweat the little things…Because there is so much more to this life that’s worth using my energy on, instead.
I am freakin’ exhausted.
But mostly satisfied.
This is the end of this chapter. So far, it’s the greatest story I’ve ever told.
